Watering Your Inner Garden - Clay Glazing and Floral Arranging with Michelle & Diamond
Diamond and I both have a heart for creative play (via flowers and clay, respectively), self-relating and community engagement so we dreamt up this two-day workshop to pull all of that together to share with y’all with some intentionality!
Day 1: Paint A Vase - Thursday, 7/18 (6:30 - 8:30pm)
Class will start with an introduction of the instructors and their individual experiences using creativity as a form of self-expression and community-building. Next, Michelle will guide participants in glazing their handmade Meechi Ceramics vase in their own personal style.
Day 2: Arrange Florals - Sunday, 7/21 (10:00am - 12:00pm)
We will return as a group to receive our beautifully glazed and fired vases and continue with the creative exploration as Diamond guides the class through creating a “natural sculpture” using a curated selection of fresh florals and foliage.
This class is intended to explore our self-expression and the role creative play has in our self care and community care.
No experience is needed - all levels are welcome and invited. This class will be instructed, but loosely, to allow individual creative expression; this space is where guidance and freedom meet.
All materials will be provided - simply show up ready to create.
Each participant will take home their vase and arrangement at the end of Day 2.
Light refreshments will be provided. We encourage you to bring your own water.
Class is for those 18 years of age and up. (If you want to purchase a seat for a little person, please email me ahead of time to approve).
Class is located at Mercury Project - 538 Roosevelt Ave, SA, TX, 78210.
Purchase is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
